The Practical Nursing Program at CATS provides students with a basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice and prepares them to take the National Council of Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN).


We believe that the practical nurse is an essential member of the health team whose practice is defined by the Nurse Practice Act; performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding; reinforcing the patient and family teaching program through health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or dentist).
